STA Announces Policy and Commitment to Achieving Net Zero Emissions

Recently, Sri Trang Agro-Industry Public Company Limited (STA), the world’s largest fully integrated natural rubber business and Thailand’s leading rubber glove manufacturer, led by Mr. Veerasith Sincharoenkul, CEO and Executive Director, announced the policy of "Commitment to Achieving Net Zero Emissions" via a warm online platform. This announcement aimed to communicate and promote the company's sustainability intentions to its employees, ensuring they are aware of and ready to adhere to STA’s goal of becoming a "Carbon Neutral Company" by 2030 and achieving Net Zero by 2050.

Through its sustainability policies, STA is driving the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar energy and biomass fuel for thermal energy production. These initiatives are geared towards reducing greenhouse gas and carbon dioxide emissions, benefiting the community, society, environment, and all stakeholders, reinforcing STA’s status as a “Green Rubber Company”

Moreover, the company has begun evaluating carbon sequestration projects involving rubber plantations and perennial trees, which our part of STA’s upstream business, to offset greenhouse gas emissions from its operations.
